Dry Ingredients:

  • Rolled-oats
  • (Optional) Almonds, shaved or quickly blitz in a food processor
  • (Optional) Dried fruits
  • (Optional) Cinnamon powder
  • A pinch of salt (omit if using salted butter)

Wet Ingredients:

  • Butter (substitute: coconut oil)
  • Brown sugar (substitute: coconut sugar)
  • Honey (substitute: golden syrup, maple syrup)
  • (Optional) Vanilla extract

Steps:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 200C.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
  3. Melt butter in a sauce pan. Mix the remaining wet ingredients into the melted butter.
  4. Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients mixture together.
  5. Put the mixture into a baking dish, then bake in 200C oven in 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Rest until cool enough to handle, then cut into pieces.
