Recipe: homemade granola bar (aka. flapjack)
Dry Ingredients:
- Rolled-oats
- (Optional) Almonds, shaved or quickly blitz in a food processor
- (Optional) Dried fruits
- (Optional) Cinnamon powder
- A pinch of salt (omit if using salted butter)
Wet Ingredients:
- Butter (substitute: coconut oil)
- Brown sugar (substitute: coconut sugar)
- Honey (substitute: golden syrup, maple syrup)
- (Optional) Vanilla extract
Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 200C.
- Mix dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
- Melt butter in a sauce pan. Mix the remaining wet ingredients into the melted butter.
- Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients mixture together.
- Put the mixture into a baking dish, then bake in 200C oven in 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Rest until cool enough to handle, then cut into pieces.
